BENGKUNG

Bengkung adalah keperluan wanita melayu yang baru melahirkan anak. Tujuan berbengkung
adalah untuk menyokong tulang belakang, membantu membaiki postur pelvik untuk kembali ke ukuran asal, mengempiskan perut, dan bagi memudahkan pengaliran susu. Jika digunakan dengan tapel perut /rempah khas untuk perut turut membantu untuk mengempiskan perut yang mengelebeh setelah proses melahirkan bayi. Diperbuat dari pelbagai jenis bahan dan ukuran
seperti kapas, belacu atau pun tenunan , ada 5 meter dan ada juga 15 meter, terpulang pada pengeluar dan pembuat. Dipasaran Malaysia ade 5 jenis bengkung yang popular, iaitu :

Abdomen wrap or binder is important in Malay Culture during confinement period after deliver a baby. It’s very effective to support the back, the pelvic and also for slimming/firming the
flabby tummy. During the confinement period, wrapping the right way will help in breastfeeding support. Made from variety of material such as cotton, thread and others. Come in 5 meter and also 15 meter depends on the manufacturer. In Malaysia, there are 5 types of wrap that are popular among the user.

1 .Bengkung lilit lipan
Bengkung ni banyak digunakan di kalangan keluarga orang melayu yang mementingkan
rawatan tradisional. Sangat ketat dan sangat berkesan. Walaubagaimanapun agak sukar untuk
ke bilik air. Pemakai boleh menyelak kan sedikit ke atas atau pakai sekali lagi setiap kali keluar
dari bilik air.
Penggunaan : Bengkung jenis ni memerlukan bantuan untuk memudahkan pemakaian, namun
boleh dipakai sendiri jika berpengalaman atau terlatih.



This is traditional wrap that has been used by Malays for generations. Throughout the user experience, it is very effective but not so friendly if you
want to use the bathroom and need to adjust after come out from the bathroom.
How it works : For convenient, need an assistant to put on the wrap but can d.i.y if you know the technique.

2. Bengkung zig zag

Bengkung ZigZag adalah bengkung moden yang popular sebab mudah dipakai. Boleh dipakai
sendiri tanpa bantuan orang lain. Namun dengan pemakaian yang tidak kemas akan membuat
bahagian perut berbenjol-benjol.
Penggunaan : Pemakai perlu baring untuk memudahkan pemakaian bengkung tersebut. Boleh
dipakai sendiri atau dengan bantuan. Ade bengkung zigzag disertakan dengan herba. Bagi keluaran BidanKota, tali zigzag di bahagikan pada 2 bahagian bagi memudahkan pemakai ke tandas. Hanya longgarkan bahagian bawah untuk ke tandas dan ketatkan kembali.

This is second generation of wrap that also very popular among the new mothers. But not
using it properly will make the tummy appear as lump on the surface.
How it works : User need to lie down on bed for easy used. Can be self used or by assistant. There are also come with herbs on it. If the product is from BidanKota, the bengkung will separate in two sections. If the user want to go to the bathroom, they’ll need to loosen the below part only.

3. Bengkung binder
Bengkung binder selalunya dicadangkan untuk ibu yang baru melahirkan anak secara C-Section.
Tidak kuat dan tidak ketat tetapi masih mampu untuk menyokong tulang belakang pemakai.
Penggunaan : Amat mudah dipakai, hanya zap sahaja dan boleh dipakai selepas bersalin.
Binder is very popular among the C-Section mothers. Help to support the back and very loose and not firm at all.
How to use : Just wrap on the tummy area.

4. Bengkung lilit

Bengkung ini berasal dari Indonesia mengunakan benang tenun. Lebih dikenali dengan nama
stagen. Mudah dipakai dan sangat berkesan untuk pelvik, perut dan tulang belakang. Juga boleh
dipakai selepas berpantang. Tidak menonjol jika dipakai didalam baju. Bagi pemakai yang
mempunyai perut buncit, dicadangkan memakai Compress Lotion sebelum pemakaian bengkung.
Penggunaan : Lilit dari peha keatas ketika kaki disilangkan. Boleh dipakai sendiri atau dengan
bantuan.

Origin from Indonesia, made from woven. Famous as Stagen. Very easy to use and very effective to support the back, pelvic, and firming the tummy. Also can be use after the confinement period as it will not show under the cloth.
How to use : Wrap from the thigh up to right below the breast. Can be d.i.y or with help of assistant.

5. Bengkung pakai buang (popular untuk proses mengempiskan perut)
Bengkung ini amat popular di pusat slimming centre. Menggunakan material plastik yang selamat untuk kulit. Ia adalah bengkung pakai buang yang focus untuk slimming.
Penggunaan : Lilit putar sebanyak beberapa kali. Sesudah rawatan hanya gunting dan buangkan,
tidak perlu di basuh.

Disposable wrap is popular at slimming center. Made from a safe for skin plastic and main focus is slimming.
How to use : Wrap and cross wrap for few layers with application of slimming products such as ampoule or lotion. After use, just cut and throw away.

MY CHRONOLOGY IN BEAUTY INDUSTRY
Known as Safi Abd Rahman, been in beauty industry since year 2000. Basically
that time was all about make up. Trying an error and experimental colors on
friends. My first formal course was with TFS image. Its a few session classes
that include about how to look presentable, how to walk and how to become a
commercial model with hands on makeup classes.

I was grad from University Of Canberra, Australia, Bachelor In I.T and started
seriously in beauty industry in year 2006. That time I was inspired by my aunt
Mak Ani and Tok Sinam. It began when it was very hard for us to conceive our
first baby. We try so many methods and Alhamdulillah finally I get pregnant
after few session of urut tradisional.

Through CHANTEK HEALTH & BEAUTY we set up a spa at Bandar Baru Ampang after
my intensive course with Felisa Cosmetic. Feeling that the intensive course is
not enough, I join Mizumi Beauty Academy for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia. Thanks
to Che Nor and Madam Koh they really make my eyes open.

My concern with peeling products which are very very popular to Malay market
during 2007 make me agreed with a researcher from a private lab to educate the
customer on how dangerous the product is, not only to the face but also to the
body. So I register MALSWISSE DERMACARE (Malaysia Switzerland Dermatologist
Skincare), name that my husband and I think of to cater the market value in
year 2008. The feedback is very good and is quit an eye opening to the Malay
market and salon owner. I start to give training to salon owner and people who
are interested to open a beauty salon.

In year 2009 I register MUSLIMAH NIAGA to focus on training and supply beauty
products and equipment. Giving consultant and advised on which product to use
for their salon and how to operate the business with their budget.

During my facial session with Dermalogica / Aster spring at Sri Hartamas, I was
amazed by the therapist skills and client care. So I ask her where she learns,
then only I knew about CIBTAC. I thought SKM was everything :D So I
join EWI (aster spring training centre) in year 2010 and meet my old school
mate, YLS. What a small world, we haven’t contact since left Sekolah Menengah
Convent Muar . She doing the sales for EWI and assist me on registration.
As YLS is devoted on school business and I am in love with educating people, so
both of us decided to open MALSWISSE DERMA CARE TRAINING CENTRE SDN BHD (MDCTC) in year 2010. Our first centre was at Empire Shopping Gallery.
When MDCTC open a new branch at SS2 , YLS husband join the team, and I pregnant
for my 3rd baby I left the company and focus to served the industry through MUSLIMAH NIAGA, BIDAN KOTA and SURI HAIR & BEAUTY until to date.
